Professional Development Manager
The Professional Development Manager module assists school districts in collecting, approving, tracking and managing the on-going professional development activities and requirements of their staff. This module’s features provide the capability to create several Individual Development Plan (IDP) templates and PD activity templates, and then assign them to the appropriate staff. It also allows staff to view their IDPs and enter their professional development activities for approval. Comprehensive reporting and data exporting is included for internal and external use, allowing data exports to outside agencies if necessary. This module assists districts in identifying which of their staff members meet the requirements of Highly Qualified Teacher as mandated by the No Child Left Behind act.
Features
Teacher:
- View summery of required PD hours vs. completed PD hours.
- View Individual Development Plan.
- Enter new PD activities and hours.
- Submit new PD activities and hours for Principal/Mentor approval.
- View reports of Professional Development Hours by Month/Year.
- View reports of Status of Submitted PD Hours.
- Receive Email Notifications of:
- Monthly status of PD hours.
- Hours accepted/denied by approver.
- Mentor review request.
Approver (Principal):
- Process PD activities/hours approval requests.
- Develop Individual Learning Plans for teachers.
- Maintain Teacher/Mentor assignment.
- Submit PD hours to Personnel staff.
- View reports of PD hours by School/Location.
- View reports of PD hours by Teacher.
- Maintain and monitor their assigned teacher’s development plans.
- Receive Email Notifications of:
- Hours review request.
- Teacher submitted hours approved/denied.
- Request for review with Teacher.
Administrator:
- Configure overall PD attributes and teacher classification requirements including:
- Teacher Classifications (New, Experienced, Tenured, All).
- Activity Categories.
- Create multiple unique IDPs and assign to configured teacher classifications.
- Configure Emails and Messages.
- Maintain Buildings/Locations.
- Maintain Mentor/Teacher Associations.
- Approve hours for submission to State.
- View numerous building and district-wide reports.
- Assign activities to individual teachers or groups of teachers.
