This Account Manager position involves a focus on prospecting, product demonstrations, and consultative selling to K-12 school districts. Daily tasks will include discussing our product with district superintendents, HR directors, and IT directors in an effort to match our services to their needs. There is also a future potential of leading a sales team to reach annual business objectives nationally and globally. This is an inside sales position utilizing phones and online meetings; no travel involved.

Candidates should fulfill the following qualifications:

  • 1-2 years sales experience OR demonstrated ability to enjoy and excel in sales
  • Result oriented personality
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Desire to develop career in a growing company
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record (GPA 3.2 or higher)
  • Willingness to relocate to Metro Detroit area (possibility of working remotely after six month period)

SchoolStream provides cloud based software to K-12 school districts. We currently have clients in 31 states across the nation and used in thousands of schools. Our platform of services streamline various administrative operations, ranging from the hiring process to student registration to facility management. Our goal is to help districts save time, ease labor, reduce materials, and enhance collaboration. 

SchoolStream is looking for highly-motivated, entrepreneurial individuals who are looking for a unique opportunity. SchoolStream is aimed to aggressively attain market share and transform into the number one Software as a Service (SaaS) provider of business software in the K-12 industry over the next three years.

The part-time assistant position involves a variety of tasks crucial to the daily operation of the company; the three primary roles are described below. There may be an opportunity to move to a full-time, salaried position dependent on performance.

Responsibilities May Include:

Client Product Training

  • Remotely interface with key clients including administrators and support staff to deliver interactive webinars and trainings
  • Consult directly with current clients on strategies, solutions and services provided by SchoolStream
  • Create and enhance training materials, online user guides, and other resources

Sales Team Assistance

  • Provide quick, high-quality email technical assistance for users who seek support with SchoolStream products 

Customer Support

  • Provide quick, high-quality email technical assistance for users who seek support with SchoolStream products 

This is a part-time position (between 12 to 20 hours per week) compensated on an hourly basis. Wage will be between $10 - $14 per hour based on education, prior experience, and other qualifications. There is an opportunity to move to a full-time, salaried position dependent on performance. No travel is involved in this position. Qualifications should include:

  • Junior or Senior class standing; graduates also welcome
  • GPA of 3.3 or above
  • Office and/or entrepreneurial experience a plus
  • Friendly, articulate, and effective communication skills

  • Desire to be part of a high-energy entrepreneurial environment
  • Willingness to work in Rochester Hills (Metro Detroit area)
